I joined Birstall Running Club in 2013 and I am passionate about sport, but realise it can cause problems and possible muscle trauma. This has motivated me to train as a Sports Massage Therapist to understand how the body performs under strain, to prevent injury and aid recovery.

 

Sports Massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. It is designed to soothe aches and pains and allivetate problems. Sports massage prior to and after exercise can enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury but it can also address problems and ease muscular stress caused by modern day living.

I joined Birstall Running Club in 2016 in the Couch to 5k programme. I really enjoy my running and the friendships I have made at BRC.

For over 20 years I have been a helping hand for so many people locally. Whatever you need I can help with, such as; cleaning, care work, ironing and shopping calls.

As long as I can remember I have enjoyed running recreationally for fitness and wellbeing. After my daughter was born, the frequency of my running had reduced and I was looking for a new way to light that fire again. My best friend Nathan and I joined Birstall RC together in Nov 2017 and we have not looked back. Not only did we join a great, welcoming club, making lots of new friends, but we got to spend more time together on a regular basis. Since joining I have blown all my personal bests out of the water, become reinvigorated about running and have signed up to a variety of new challenges.

I have been photographing semi-professionally for the last 11 years, slowly building up my experience, my equipment and now my studio. I have completed in excess of 500 photography jobs including: newborns, children, families, maternity, cake smash, dress up, weddings and events.
