THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GETTING THE SWITHLAND 10K SORTED OUT.
WE NOW FEEL IT IS CLOSE ENOUGH TO PUBLISH A PROVISIONAL RESULT .
WE STILL NEED TO PLACE TOM INGRAM, REBECCA MORTEL AND MARTIN PRIME AND ARE MISSING A SIGNIFICANT RUNNER IN THE TOP 100 SO IF YOU SPOT ANY MORE MISTAKES OR A NAME IS MISSING

STOP PRESS - Gemma Smith came 1st lady and 3rd overall in the Leeds half marathon in a time of 1.22
She received £300 in prize money and two bottles of champagne. Well done to her.

STOP PRESS- Well done to Carl voisey who came 5th (38.25) at the Daffodil 10k out of 1000 runners on a very tough course.

A lovely day but very windy, a last minute change in the mens order meant that Tim Lyon ran instead of Deryk, Steve made up the team of 4 but only after cycling 50 miles which proved to be hard going in the wind.

The final results were Ladies A team came 4th, The Ladies B Team - 11th and the Men's Team came 20th

Birstall Runners at the Belvoir half marathon on Easter Sunday and at last the Birstall sign is erected - more pictures on the NOTICEBOARD

STOP PRESS....Two of our members, Carl Voisey and Zoe Fleming competed in the County 10,000 metres Championship race at
Saffron Lane on Thursday night.
Carl finished 8th in a time of 36.31 and Zoe came 9th in 36.57. Well done to them both.
The race attracted runners from Northamptonshire and Warwickshire as well as Leicestershire
making up the Three County Championship.

DERBY RUNNER X COUNTRY RELAYS

Still waiting for the Derby Runner Relay Results but have been assured they are being sorted.

Deryk The team leader had this to say -

Well done to everybody that turned out for Birstall.
A total of fourteen of our runners took part, and although it was very hard I think everyone enjoyed it
(perhaps not during the 10 metres in the brook!)

One of our female teams were medal winners coming 3rd in their category, congratulations to Kat,Lizzie J and Susie E. The team members of the other 3 teams for Birstall comprising Dean E,Carl, JB,Tim W...Racing Snake,Julie Y.,Chris,...Tim L.,Angie,Lorna and myself.
Didn't manage to win anything but all 14 runners ran their hearts out (and in one or two cases their stomachs) on a very windy,cool day.
The highlight for me was caused by the two Tim's coming in together after the first lap,which led to the sight of Carl(men's team) and Angie(mixed team) starting their respective second legs neck and neck for a short time, and I mean no disrespect when I say that this Birstall moment will live with me for a long time.
