followed by Tim Hartley of Barrow in 30:15, which also broke the previous
record. The first lady home was Jane Potter of Charnwood AC in 33:48 breaking
the previous women's record by 26 seconds, Beth Eburn of Hinckley was
second in 34:17, only 3 seconds outside the previous best.
495 runners finished
the race in very difficult conditions, with the sponsor's Swithland Spring
water very welcome at the end. Results are available here.
INFORMATION

Parking
Please follow the signs for the field used for parking which is near the
centre of Swithland and close to the start, marshals will be on hand to
advise you. There will be no parking at the Griffin Inn, they are kindly
letting us use some of their facilities but they also have a business
to run and need the car park for their regular customers. The villagers
and other runners would appreciate if you don't park on the road anywhere
in the village especially near the church.
Changing
The changing facilities are limited and there are no showers. The Griffin
Inn skittle alley will be used for men's changing and the Memorial Hall
which is near the start, for Ladies changing.
Toilets
Quite a few toilets are available at the Griffin Inn but please do not
use the wash basins to drench yourself after the race as it makes the
floor very dangerous.
There are also Ladies toilets at the Memorial Hall.

and will be at 10.30a.m. Please allow time to get to the start without
